雖本季 NBA 暫告一段落，但週邊話題依然接連不斷，那邊廂 Kevin Durant 稱讚 Kyrie Irving 比 Allen Iverson 更有技術，這邊廂便有着關於 LeBron James 的消息。據美國媒體 The Ringer 記者透露，LeBron James 考慮在 2018 年戰洛杉磯，或許會以自由身市場加盟 Los Angeles 的 Lakers 或是 Clippers。

其中的一個原因是 LeBron 的住處其實很近洛杉磯的 Staples Center，近水樓台的情況下令他會覺得比較方便。再者 Warriors 已鎖定了隊員核心包括 Stephen Curry，Kevin Durant，Draymond Green，Klay Thompson，Andre Iguodala 及 Shaun Livingston 直至 2019 年，相反 Cleveland Cavaliers 卻沒有空間去提升他們的隊伍，LeBron James 在第五戰完結後亦模糊地說了一話：
「I need to sit down and figure this thing out， And so I don’t know as far as me personally right now，But as far as that team， they’re going to be here for a while。 They’re going to be around for a while … from my eyes，they’re built to last a few years，So we’ll see。」

雖然他沒有公開討論要離開 Cavaliers，但是在 2016 年他告訴 Bleacher Report 的 Howard Beck 希望和 Dwyane Wade，Chris Paul 及 Carmelo Anthony 組成一隊，能夠在職業生涯結束之前以隊友身份去作賽。不過要將這四位球員集合在同一隊，所付出的薪資可能要很高。而若 Cavaliers 未能為 LeBron 組成這陣容，他可能真的會再次離開。到底 LeBron James 是去或留，請繼續留意 JUKSY 的後續消息。
